The United States Environmental Protection Agency’s continued focus on buildings containing lead and asbestos, typically built prior to 1978, is creating significant budgetary concerns for homeowner’s associations, school districts, and other entities nationwide.  Please join us as we discuss testing requirements, potential cost increases, and liability, affecting project budgets, which may need to be addressed in the Associations Reserve Studies.

Michael T. Kennedy Jr | Partner
Michael is a partner of Berding | Weil and has represented building owners, homeowner associations, homeowners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and insurance carriers throughout California in a wide variety of construction and real estate transaction disputes for all types of properties including luxury high rise, mid rise, urban work/live buildings, single family homes, and commercial properties.  Michael’s practice focuses primarily on representation of HOAs in construction defect claims, governing document enforcement litigation, and as General Counsel on a wide variety of issues. 


Bill Mann

Bill Mann began his career in 1979, working in development of large common interest communities.  He then moved into association management specializing in underfunded communities which led him into the banking industry where he created a standalone nationwide lending program for associations.  Eventually he returned to his first interest, HOA reconstruction.  Currently, Bill is the President at The GB Group, a full-service construction company offering construction and painting services throughout Northern California.  His vast experience and education have deemed Bill Mann a recognized expert in Community Association Construction, Finance, and Operations.
