Playground Structures and the hidden expenses

Over Rod Beber's forty years in construction and half of that being in the playground industry, he has come across a lot of interesting items as it pertains to the reserve study and the common area. In this webinar he will be diving into the general cost for equipment, playground surfacing and common area amenities. It’s important to discuss the underlying cost, that sometimes make it difficult for an association, to move forward and understand a reserve study from the operating budget. Park Pro Playgrounds and its sister company ParkPro Tek, services thousands of properties throughout Nevada and Texas and have a lot of insight in the playground industry and how it affects the associations.

SPEAKER:

Rod Beber
President, Park Pro Playgrounds

Rod Beber is an owner and operator of ParkPro Playgrounds and ParkPro Tek.  Park Pro Playgrounds is a commercial park equipment company in Nevada specializing in the sales and installation of recreational playground equipment and amenities from 1991 to present.  ParkPro Tek has offices in both Nevada and Texas and specializes in safety, inspections and maintenance of park and playground equipment.

Rod and his son Dustin, recently developed a fully cloud based software program that is the first of its kind in the playground auditing industry. With this software, managers and park owners are now able to meet the requirements for record keeping of playground maintenance and thereby avoid potential litigation.

Rod’s entire career has been in the construction industry.  From his start as an installer for a window company to holding positions as Director of Land Development, Vice President of Operation and Division President for major home building companies to his starting a park and playground equipment company with his family. Over time, Rod has secured all the credentials necessary to build his company into a leader in the industry.  Some of the credentials he’s acquired are: CPSI (Certified Playground Inspector for the last 20 years), National Playground Contractor Association Member, Member of the National Parks and Recreation Association, Nevada Parks and Recreation Member, Southern Nevada Landscape Association Member, RISC (Recreation Installation Specialist Certification) and dual licensure with the Nevada State Contractors Board.
