Membership With APRA


The Association of Professional Reserve Analysts (APRA) is the premier national trade organization for reserve study professionals and industry experts. APRA provides a forum to share information and educate the public about reserve studies. The organization hosts an annual Symposium for continuing education, provides a professional reserve study credential to differentiate its members from competitors, and produces the APRA Advisor e-newsletter that is a fantastic resource for industry professionals.

APRA Code of Ethics

By applying for membership below, you agree:

  • To encourage employees and colleagues to act in the best interest of the CID clients whom they represent and serve.
  • To encourage employees and colleagues to enrich their capacity to serve their clients by joining APRA and participating in its educational and other events.
  • To never intentionally misrepresent APRA, its members, or its activities.
  • To never use your role in an APRA event or committee to solicit a client or contract.
  • To pursue your profession and serve your clients according to the highest standards of your industry.
  • To maintain a current and competent command of your industry’s skills and knowledge to serve your clients.
  • To cooperate fully with colleagues in your related profession in the orderly transition of clients.
  • To never betray the trust or confidentiality of your clients and fellow professionals.
    Membership Options

    All memberships renew on an annual basis on January 1.

    Affiliate Membership:  Affiliate membership is for companies that do NOT conduct reserve studies but provide a reserve study related service.

    General Membership:  General membership is for companies that do perform reserve studies. There are several membership levels based on the number of representatives you'd like to have: General Member 1-2 members, General Member 3-4 members, or General Member 5+. Those listed under this level have the opportunity to apply for the PRA credential.
    • PRA Credential -  PRA membership is for individuals who have conducted more than 50 reserve studies and have worked in the reserve study field for a minimum of five years. Click here for more information.
